The HUMM app
Microphone and recordings
HUMM asks to use the microphone so it can hear you hum, sing, whistle or beatbox. It only listens while you are recording. Your recordings are turned into notes and songs on your iPhone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Camera and video recordings
In version 1.1, when you choose Record a video, HUMM asks to use your camera and microphone to record a performance. HUMM extracts and processes its audio on your phone. A video used with a song is stored locally with that song for editing. HUMM does not upload your recordings to a server or automatically save them to Photos. You choose whether to export or share them; copies you share are controlled by their destination. Device backups may include app-local songs and recordings. You can revoke camera or microphone access in iPhone Settings and continue importing existing files.
Your songs
Songs, recordings and settings are stored in HUMM on your device. Deleted songs stay in Recently deleted for 30 days, then they’re removed. Deleting the app removes everything it stored. If your device backs up apps (for example to iCloud), Apple handles that backup under its own policy.
Sharing and Photos
A song only leaves HUMM when you export or share it. If you save a video to Photos, HUMM asks for permission to add to your photo library. It can’t read your photos. When you import a voice memo or video, you pick the file yourself and HUMM reads only that file.
No account, no ads, no tracking
HUMM has no sign-up or login. It shows no ads, uses no advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Purchases
All features and exports are free in HUMM 1.1. This version does not start new purchases or trials and does not use RevenueCat. Apple manages any subscription you previously purchased through the App Store; we do not receive your payment details. Installing the free update does not cancel an existing subscription. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple Account’s subscription settings. See Apple’s subscription instructions.
Paid options are planned for a future update. Any future purchase will show its price and terms before you choose to buy. We will update this policy if that release changes how information is handled.
Ratings
HUMM may ask you to rate it using Apple’s standard rating prompt. Apple handles your answer.
This website
hummtunes.world uses no cookies, no analytics and no ads. If you try the microphone on the home page, your browser asks first, and your hum is turned into notes inside your browser. It is never uploaded and is gone when you leave the page. Like any website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.
Children
HUMM is suitable for all ages. Because it collects no personal information, it doesn’t knowingly collect any from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
