COMMON QUESTIONS

HUMM doesn’t hear me

Open Settings on your iPhone, go to Privacy & Security › Microphone and turn HUMM on. Then hum for at least 10 seconds, close to the phone. Quiet humming works, but steady notes work best.

I can’t hear anything

Turn the volume up and check the Mix: a part may be muted. If you wear headphones, check they’re connected. HUMM plays even when the ring switch is on silent.

The song doesn’t follow my tune

Hum a few clear, separate notes, and keep going for 10 seconds or more. Tap Hum again to try once more, or open the part and tap a note to move it. Fix can also tidy the timing.

Do I need to restore a plan in version 1.1?

No. Version 1.1 unlocks every feature and export for free, without buying or restoring a plan. Earlier app versions may still show their existing subscription options.

How do I cancel an existing subscription?

The free 1.1 update does not cancel an existing subscription. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose HUMM. Read Apple’s subscription instructions.

Why can’t I export a song?

Version 1.1 does not lock exports behind a plan. Check your installed version in Settings and update when 1.1 is available. If export still fails, check your free storage and email us with the message shown.

I deleted a song by mistake

Open My songs and tap Recently deleted. Deleted songs stay there for 30 days.

How do I allow camera recording?

In version 1.1, choose Import → Record a video, or Add a video → Record a video. Allow Camera and Microphone when asked. You can also enable them for HUMM in iPhone Settings. Capture is optional; you can still import an existing video.

Are my recordings uploaded?

No. HUMM listens and arranges on your iPhone, and there’s no HUMM account. Your songs stay on your phone unless you share them. Read the Privacy Policy.

Which devices does HUMM work on?

HUMM is made for iPhone and also runs on iPad.

HUMM IS ALMOST ON THE APP STORE.

The download link goes live on launch day. Until then, hum into the mic at the top of the home page to hear what HUMM makes from your tune.
